matchplay rules 2022

​1. Handicap allowance.
 
Singles.           Full difference between the COURSE HANDICAP number of the two players.
Fourball.         Back Marker to concede strokes to other players based on9/10 of the difference between the COURSE HANDICAP                           NUMBER and strokes and shall be taken according to the strokes index.
Foursomes.     Half the difference between the aggregate on either side based on the COURSE HANDICAP NUMBER.
 
2. Both sides are equally responsible for contacting each other to arrange matches
 
Matches not played will result in both players being removed from draw.
(Please arrange your match as early as possible).
                                                          
3. Matches MUST be played from Blue tee markers.
 
4.  A choice of 3 days, one of which should be a weekend day, must be offered by each side. If a day cannot be agreed for the match it must be played on the last day. If one of the sides cannot play on the last day the match must be conceded. This must be notified to one of the undersigned who will record and post the result.
 
5. If the course is closed or play discontinued because the course is unplayable and it is impossible to complete the match, arrange another day to complete the match as soon as possible. If this happens on the last day contact one of the undersigned (this will be considered an exceptional circumstance).
 
6. Extensions will be granted in exceptional circumstances only. Holidays and
participation in interclub competitions are not considered to be exceptional circumstances.
 
7. No matchplays permitted during competition time.
 
8. Results must be posted on the draw sheet by the winning side as soon as possible after the completion of each match. The winner will be disqualified if the result is not posted by the completion date.
 
9. Any walkovers or disputes should be notified to the Matchplay Committee.
 
10. All decisions will be made by the Competitions Committee and will be final.
